I had an awesome acting class last night with guest acting coach Ransford Dougherty. We did a scene from Code Black, which is one of my new favorite shows. I love this class!! It's an advanced scene study class taught by actor/producer Joshua Lebar and it challenges me. I like it because when you are challenged you get better.
Tonight I had my “Tuesday” acting class. This is my other favorite acting class. We’ve been working on goals for 2016 and last week we were given an assignment to track our schedules in 15 min blocks. I discovered that I’m pretty busy during the week. Between sleeping and school and acting and singing, there are some days I barely have time for anything else.
The point of the assignment was to see where you are wasting time and to show what you could cut out of your schedule to achieve your goals.
So what are my goals for 2016?
Book at least 5 paying projects (2-4 theatrical / 2-3 commercial)
Attend Camp Hollywood
Save more $. I want at least $4,000 in my bank account by the end of 2016
Learn Piano and Guitar to expand my music abilities
Keep up my good grades to maintain my work permit and prepare for USC
Travel to Australia to see my Australian friends and to swim in a pink lake
Maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle for 2016
So that’s it. I think that they are pretty do-able. Some are definitely going to be easier than others.
Most importantly, I find it necessary to share with you all that pink lakes in Australia do exist. There are actually 8 pink lakes in the world. There is 1 in Senegal, 1 in Canada, 1 in Azerbaijan (I have no idea where that is), 1 in Spain, and 4 in Australia. My favorites are Pink Lake and Lake Hilliar both in Western Australia.
The lakes are pink because of a kind of bacteria that lives in the salt. The lakes are supposed to be completely safe to swim in. Because the lakes are salt water, I think it’s probably safest not to pee in them. That’s a bit of advice from a 2 ½ year old Lizzie who peed in the dead-sea by mistake.
